Stacey - Been Everywhere

DID: 2016

“I’ve Been Everywhere Man” by Hank Snow is how I feel about my career.

As a teenager, I dreamed of becoming a singer-songwriter like Dolly Parton or I was going to be a star, like Farrah Fawcett in Charles Angels. I was also oddly curious about crime; court room dramas, deranged criminals, and scary prisons, so I got a B.A. in Law & Justice. I had an ongoing 15 year love/hate relationship with my paralegal job– loved the prestige, hated the establishment. Moved to Vancouver and discovered rock-climbing and cruise ships. I sought out and gained a 6-month position on one of the ships and continued to work aboard the next 7 years visiting over 68 countries. After Sept 11th, I hung up my life jacket and settled in Saint John.

In 2014, I was asked to participate in a workshop called Shaping Purpose, a course that helps people through difficult transitions. At the time, I had a steady job, a decent relationship, a nice little house and what I thought, was a nice life. After completing the four-day workshop, I realized I did not have what I really wanted – a job where I could work from home. So, I made the choice to change my life.

I resigned from my desk job and started Stacey Services - my own company where I use my gifts to fuel my passion of helping others create their own dream life. And by the way, I ended that relationship, bought my dream property and work home. Best part, I hand pick my treasured clients.

Being digitally independent, allows me the luxury of designing my own day. If I want to have a meeting on the deck, so be it. Take a meeting on the golf course – I am all in! Take a call in my canoe or tuck that business report under my arm to read in Miss Mabee my paddleboat, digital independence is bliss.
